SUMMARY:

Our associates deliver a higher standard of business services to support medical care and behavioral health care. We maintain professionalism, integrity, and commitment as we solve problems and make lives easier.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to detained and committed patients. 

  • Supervise other nursing and nursing paraprofessional personnel in the patient care environment. 

  • Supervise site managers, health services administrators (HSAs), and site nurses. 

  • Review and adhere to staffing contracts. 

  • Supervises and participates in the provision of general nursing care services. 

  • Interviews and hires associate while ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion. 

  • Communicate appropriate applicant and associate information as requested by the client. 

  • Conduct site visits, complete site reviews and documentation every 8 weeks for all assigned sites. 

  • Conducts continuous quality improvement (CQI) meetings and completes documentation every 4 – 6 months or more often if required, for all assigned client sites. 

  • Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate associates. 

  • Develop and communicate staffing schedules as necessary. 

  • Evaluates and verifies associate performance through the review of completed work assignments, work techniques and peer reviews. 

  • Identifies associate development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.  

  • Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence relative to the work. 

  • Serves as liaison between associate, corporate office and other areas within the facility. 

  • Always maintain professional attitude. 

  • Work collaboratively and courteously with clients. 

  • Assist the facility associate in covering staffing shortages. 

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date strategic planning manual with continuity BUS plan and goals. 

  • Fill in as a site manager in a facility as needed. 

  • May be asked to train new hires and coworkers. 

  • Partner with medical teams and management teams to facilitate teamwork to collaboratively accomplish organizational goals. 

  • Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing support and guidance in the development and deployment of initiatives designed to solve problems and make lives easier.  

  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications


  • RN with active nursing license in good standing within the state(s) in which services are to be provided. 

  • 5+ years of nursing experience required. 

  • 3+ years of relevant management or supervisor experience in healthcare, corrections, ICU, ER or Med/Surg environment preferred.  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training required. 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor certification; hands-on training preferred. 

  • CCHP Certification preferred. 

  • Knowledge of the RN and LPN scope of practice. 

  • Strong Microsoft Office, Internet, and email skills. 

  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
